  • 10 mm safety eyes
  • Stitch marker

Abbreviations:

  • sc = single crochet
  • inc = increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
  • dec = decrease (single crochet two stitches together, or invisible decrease)
  • MR = magic ring

Heart Humps (Make 2):

  1. Magic Ring: Start with a magic ring. Crochet 8 sc into the ring. Pull to close. (8 stitches)
  2. Round 1: 2 sc in each stitch around. (16 stitches)
  3. Round 2: Sc, inc around. (24 stitches)
  4. Round 3: 2 sc, inc around. (32 stitches)
  5. Rounds 4-5: Sc in each stitch around. (32 stitches)
  • First Heart Hump: Fasten off and cut the yarn after Round 5.
  • Second Heart Hump: Do not cut the yarn. Proceed to join the humps.

  2. Stuff the heart more if needed.
  3. Round 15: 1 sc, dec around. (16 stitches)
  4. Stuff firmly.
  5. Round 16: Dec around to close the opening. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Use the tail to sew the opening shut.

  5. Lightly stuff the ends, flatten, and dc through both sides to close. (3 stitches)
  6. Leave a tail for sewing.

  1. Attach limbs: Sew arms between rounds 11-12 and legs at the bottom of the heart.
  2. Embroider facial features with black yarn (such as a little smile).
