Blanket Body
Foundation: Start with a slip knot.
Chain (Ch) 4: Slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.
Round 1:
- Ch 3 (counts as 1 double crochet),
- *2 double crochet (dc) into the ring,
- Ch 2,
- (3 dc into the ring, Ch 2) repeat 3 more times.
- Slip stitch into the top of the beginning Ch 3 to join.
- You should have a total of 4 clusters and 4 chains.
Round 2:
- Ch 3, turn, (this counts as the first dc),
- *2 dc in the same corner space,
- Ch 2, 3 dc into the same space (this completes your first corner),
- Move to the next corner space, 3 dc, Ch 2, 3 dc,
- Repeat for the remaining two corners,
- Slip stitch in the top of the initial Ch 3 to join.
Subsequent Rounds:
- Continue adding rounds by repeating the steps from Round 2.
- In each round, add 3 dc into each chain space on the sides (no chains between these clusters),
- Work 3 dc, Ch 2, 3 dc into each corner.
For instance, on Round 3:
- Ch 3 (counts as a dc), turn,
- *2 dc in the same corner space,
- Ch 2, 3 dc in the same corner,
Move to next chain-2 space: 3 dc,

Border
Setup Row
- Make sure the number of stitches on each side of your square is the same.
- Attach the new yarn in any double crochet stitch.
- Ch 3 (counts as a dc), dc in each stitch around.
- For each corner, add (1 dc, Ch 1, 1 dc).
- Slip stitch to join.
First Fan Row:
- Slip stitch into the chain-1 space of the first fan.

- Slip stitch to join and proceed as the first fan row for the big fans with increase corners.
Third Fan Row (Optional)
- Chain pattern increase for next row (increases per each corner: 5 dc, Ch 1, 5 dc),
- Continue the process same around.
Final Border Row:
- Chain space with edge pattern
- Ch 3, single crochet into next space.
- Continue pattern around with single crochet in the double post centerpiece,
- Continue repeat around - on edge single crochet at each side.
