Foundation Chain: Chain 69

Row 1 (R1):

  • Start from the 5th ch from the hook, place 1 dc,
  • [ch 1, sk next ch, dc in next ch] twice, ch 1, sk next ch, dc2tog over next ch, sk 3 chs in between and next ch, [ch 1, sk next ch, dc in the next ch] 3 times*,
  • ch 3, sc in the same ch, repeat from * across, ending with last rep at **,
  • ch 1, dc in the same ch, turn.

Row 2 (R2):

  • ch 3 (or alternative turning chain), 3 dc in the same st,
  • 1 dc in the ch-1 sp and each dc to dc before dc2tog, dc2tog over next dc, sk 3 sts, and next dc*,
  • 1 dc in each ch-1 sp and each dc to next ch-3 sp, [3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc] in ch-3 sp, repeat from * across, ending with last rep at **,
  • 1 dc in each ch-1 sp and each dc to turning chain, 4 dc in 3rd ch of turning chain, turn.

For Row 3 (R3):

Notes:

This shawl is crocheted from the neck area outwards, increasing every row and repeating 2 rows after the foundation row until finished. You can adjust the length of the shawl by stopping earlier or continuing for a longer shawl.
