Materials

  • 3.5 mm / E crochet hook (I like this hook).
  • Fingering (#1) weight yarn (I used Scheepjes Whirl in Blackcurrant Squeeze Me) 225gr/1,000m/1,094yds
  • Stitch marker

Gauge (in pattern) – Working rows 1-4 will result in a 4” (10 cm) wide triangle.

Finished Size – 68×26″ (172.7x66cm)

 Abbreviations (US):

  • ch – chain
  • dc – double crochet
  • DD-V – doubled DV stitch: [2dc, ch1, 2dc, ch1, 2dc] in the same stitch
  • D-V – double V stitch: [2dc, ch1, 2dc] in the same stitch
  • PM – place marker
  • puff – (yo, insert hook into next st, yo and pull up a loop) x 4 times working into same st, yo and pull through 8 loops, yo again and pull through 2 remaining loops.
  • sp – space
  • ss – slip stitch
  • V-puff – [1puff, ch1, 1puff] in the same stitch.

Notes:

  • Ch3 at the beginning of the row counts as 1dc.
  • Ch1 does not count as a stitch.
  • A stitch count table is provided after the written instructions in the original pattern link.
  • You can make the shawl as big as you’d like by working the repetitions.
