Free Crochet Whale Pattern In Different Colors

Materials

  • Blue, white and pink yarn, use thick velvet or plush yarns.
  • Crochet hook (I use a 5 mm)
  • Safety eyes (I use 14 mm)
  • Stuffing.
  • Marker.
  • Knitting needle and scissors.

Abbreviations

  • ch = chain
  • mr = magic ring
  • sc = single crochet
  • inc = increase
  • dec = decrease
  • sl = slip stitch
  • BLO = back loops only

Note: anything written in brackets will be repeated during the round or the number of times indicated after the bracket.

Body

Blue

  • 1. mr 8 sc (8)
  • 2. 8 inc (16)
  • 3. (1 sc, 1 inc) x 8 (24)
  • 4. (2 sc, 1 inc) x 8 (32)
  • 5. (3 sc, 1 inc) x 8 (40)
  • 6. (4 sc, 1 inc) x 8 (48)
  • 7-14. 48 sc (48)
  • 15. (4 sc, 1 dec) x 8 (40)
  • 16. 40 sc (40)

Switch to white

  • 17. BLO 40 sc (40)
  • 18. (3 sc, 1 dec) x 8 (32) ¡Place safety eyes!
  • 19. (2 sc, 1 dec) x 8 (24) ¡Start stuffing!
  • 20. (1 sc, 1 dec) x 8 (16) 21. 8 dec (8)

Crochet 1 slst, fasten off and leave yarn to finish the body with needle.

Dorsal fin x 2

Color Azul

  • 1. mr 6 sc (6)
  • 2. (2 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (8)
  • 3. (1 sc, 1 inc) x 4 (12)
  • 4. 12 sc (12)

Crochet 1 slst, flatten the fin and crochet 6 sc between stitches. Leave some yarn to sew it to the body. Place safety eyes between rounds 15 and 16.

Tail fin

Save

Blue

  • 1. 6 chains
  • 2. Skip 1 ch, crochet 3 sc 3. crochet 3 more chains, skip the 1st and crochet 2 sc to reach the main chain.
  • 4. Crochet 2 sc to finish the tail.
  • Leave some yarn to sew the tail to the body.
