  • SI St: Slip Stitch
  • Sc: Single Crochet
  • Dc: Double Crochet
  • CH: Chain
  • Inc: Increase
  • Dec: Decrease

Materials

  • 4.5mm Crochet Hook Size 3 or 4
  • Any Color Yarn
  • Yarn Needle
  • Hair Elastic

Instructions

Part 1 Save

Part 1: Attach Yarn to Elastic

  • Make a slip knot with your Colour #1 yarn.
  • Insert the crochet hook into the hair elastic, into the slip knot, and bring it through.
  • With the working yarn on the outer side of the elastic, make one slip stitch into the slip knot.

Part 2: Ruffles

Part 2 Save

Instructions

  • Rd. 1: SC around the entire elastic by inserting a hook into the middle of the elastic and pulling through a loop (around 40-50 SC total depending on elastic size)
  • Rd.2a: (REGULAR RUFFLED LOOK) 2DC into each SC Rd2b: (MORE RUFFLED LOOK) 3DC into each SC
  • Rd.3: 2DC around *switch to Color #2 yarn to make a trim*
  • Rd.4: SC around
  • Cut the yarn and fasten off!
