Abbreviations
- SI St: Slip Stitch
- Sc: Single Crochet
- Dc: Double Crochet
- CH: Chain
- Inc: Increase
- Dec: Decrease
Materials
- 4.5mm Crochet Hook Size 3 or 4
- Any Color Yarn
- Yarn Needle
- Hair Elastic
Instructions
Part 1: Attach Yarn to Elastic
- Make a slip knot with your Colour #1 yarn.
- Insert the crochet hook into the hair elastic, into the slip knot, and bring it through.
- With the working yarn on the outer side of the elastic, make one slip stitch into the slip knot.
Part 2: Ruffles
Instructions
- Rd. 1: SC around the entire elastic by inserting a hook into the middle of the elastic and pulling through a loop (around 40-50 SC total depending on elastic size)
- Rd.2a: (REGULAR RUFFLED LOOK) 2DC into each SC Rd2b: (MORE RUFFLED LOOK) 3DC into each SC
- Rd.3: 2DC around *switch to Color #2 yarn to make a trim*
- Rd.4: SC around
- Cut the yarn and fasten off!
