Making Your Crochet Suzzett Stitch Phone Case

Supplies:

  • 100% Cotton Yarn
  • 4mm Crochet Hook
  • Stitch Marker
  • Scissors
  • Yarn Needle
  • Button
  • Fabric Glue (optional)

Step by step Pattern

Step 1: Initial Setup

Start with a slip knot and chain up fourteen (14). Turn your work and skip the first chain, then do one single crochet in the second chain; mark this stitch with a stitch marker. Again, do one more single crochet in the same chain. Continue adding one single crochet into each chain to the end, which should end with fourteen (14) single crochets.

Step 2: Establishing Base

At the end of the chain, add three more single crochets. Then turn your work. Until the second last chain, add one single crochet in each chain. At the end, additionally make 11 single crochets.

Step 3: Building Up

Continue the pattern by adding one single crochet and one double crochet into the first stitch, skipping the next stitch and repeating through the piece. From moving round number three to round number twenty-two, keep repeating this pattern, marking on every first stitch of each round to track the rounds.

Step 4: Creating a Strap

After finishing round number twenty-two, add eight more stitches to reach the corner before moving on to round number twenty-three. For the rounds 23, 24, and 25, make one single crochet in each stitch. After round 25, chain up two to create a standby for the strap.

Step 5: Finishing Up

Keep adding stitches until the strap reaches the required length, then create a slip stitch to attach the strap. Finally, add a button and create a loop for closure.

Step 6: Add A Flower Decoration (Optional)

To make the flower decoration, start with a magic circle and add single and double crochets around it, following the pattern from the video. Add this decorative flower to your phone cover using fabric glue or by sewing it in.

If size adjustments are needed, reduce the number of rounds for a smaller pouch and increase the number of rounds for a larger one.
