Crochet Bow Slippers for Comfort and Style

Crochet slippers are soft, woven footwear made by looping yarn with a special needle called a crochet hook. They are perfect for keeping your feet warm and comfortable when it's chilly. You can also make a pair using our crochet footwear pattern given below. It has a bow and a cute little knot on the slippers, making them look pretty and unique. With their handmade charm and the special touch of a bow, crochet slippers with bows are both useful and fashionable, great for wearing around the house or giving to someone you care about as a gift.

Materials

  • No.4 medium-weight yarn in gray and peach
  • 5 mm crochet hook (Use 4mm for small size and 6mm for extra-large)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch marker

Step by step Pattern

Step 1: Start with the magic ring

Hold the yarn tail with your thumb, wrap it around two fingers, crisscross it in the front, and hold your working yarn with your ring finger.
Insert your hook into the first circle, using the second, pull out a loop, twist it, go into the working yarn, and chain one.
Then, you must work eight half double crochet into the magic ring.

Step 2: Develop the magic ring

Place the stitch marker in front of your first half double crochet.
Now, you must work two half double crochets into the first half double crochet.
Plus, work two half double crochets into the succeeding stitches. This should take you from 8 to 16 half double crochets.

Step 3: Next rounds

Follow the pattern for the next rounds, which comprise half double crochets. The specific pattern will change with each round.
Round 3 should leave you with 24 half double crochets; round 4 should leave you with 32 half double crochets, then from round 5 to round 11, you should consistently get 32 half double crochets.
Step 4: Making the slipper body

For round 12, make one half double crochet into each stitch, but stop at the last eight stitches.
For round 13 until the end of round 14, return and work one half double crochet into each stitch, leaving you with 24 half double crochets for these two rounds.
Continue this process until you reach round 25.

Step 5: Stitching and flip

Slip stitch the two ends together. Make sure the slipper is inside out while you are joining them.
Once done, flip your work and work on half double crochets around the slipper's opening. Again, flip your work inside.

Step 6: Constructing the bow

For this, you have to chain nine and perform seven half double crochet across all the chains.
Repeat this from row 3 until row 20 with consistent seven half double crochets.
Once done, slip stitch the two ends together but ensure to use the back loops only.

Step 7: Placing the bow

Place the bow around 8 rounds from the first round of slipper. You can either slip stitch or tie it with your hand to secure it.
Step 8: Secure and finish

Lastly, secure the bow with some stitches so that it won't move around.
For the remaining yarn tails, go into the back loops of the stitch and cut off the excess yarn to give a clean finish.
