Instructions

  • 1. Ch 39
  • 2. Row 1 (ws): Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn. -38 sts
  • 3. Rows 2-5: Ch 1, working in the BLO, sc in each st across, turn.
  • 4. Rows 6-9: Ch 1, hdc in the 1st st, slip st in the next st, *hdc in the next st, slip st in the next st; repeat from * across, turn.
  • 5. Row 10: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
  • 6. Rows 11-14: Ch 1, working in the BLO sc in each st across, turn.
  • 7. Repeat rows 6-14 for a total of 86 rows.
  • 8. Repeat rows 6-9 one more time for a total of 90 rows.
  • 9. Do NOT fasten off

Finishing

  • 1. Fold the cowl in half sideways, slip stitch the starting chains to the stitches of the last row, ch 1.
  • 2. Evenly sc around the opening of the cowl, join with a slip stitch to the first sc and fasten off.
  • 3. Join yarn to the other opening of the cowl, ch 1, evenly sc around this opening, join with a slip stitch to the first sc, and fasten off.
