  • Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton (186yds/100g): 6 (6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10) balls Ecru.

Materials

  • US Size F/5 (3.75mm) crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors

  • Xs (Sm, Med, Lg, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x 5x)
  • Bust: 28–30 (32–34, 36–38, 40–42, 44–46, 48–50, 52–54, 56–58, 60–62)”

Gauge

  • 12 clusters x 12 rows = 4”

Special Stitches

  • Cluster (2 double crochet cluster) = [yo, insert hook into indicated st, yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops] twice, yo and draw through remaining loops.
  • SpCluster (split 2 double crochet cluster) = repeat for cluster except that it is made by inserting hook in between the dc posts of the cluster below, splitting them. Similar to a v-stitch.

Notes

  • Weave in ends as work progresses.

Front Panel:

Hem

  1. Row 1: Ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn–10 sc.
  2. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in BLO across, turn.
  3. Rows 3-58 (62, 66, 70, 74, 78, 82, 86, 90): Ch 1, sc in BLO across, turn.

Do not fasten off, continue to Body.

Body

  1. Row 1: Ch 1, rotate to work in row-ends of Hem, sc in each row end across, turn–58 (62, 66, 70, 74, 78, 82, 86, 90) sts.
  2. Row 2 (RS): Ch 2 (does not count as a st here and throughout), *cluster in next 3 (5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19) sts, dc in next 4 sts, [cluster in next 2 sts, ch 1, skip 1] 6 times, cluster in next 2 sts; repeat from * across to last 7 (9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23) sts, dc in next 4 sts, cluster in last 3 (5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19) sts, turn.
  3. Row 3 (WS): Ch 2, Spcluster in next 3 (5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19) sts, *bpdc around next 4 dc, [Spcluster in next 2, cluster in next ch-1 space] 6 times, Spcluster in next 2; repeat from * to last 7 (9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23) sts, bpdc around next 4 dc, Spcluster in last 3 (5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19) sts, turn.

Repeat the pattern as indicated, alternating between the specified rows for each part of the top, including the Split for Neckline, Back Panel, Joining, Sleeves, and Ties.

Split for Neckline:

  • Follow specific instructions for dividing the stitches for the neckline, working separately on each side, and then fastening off.

Back Panel:

  • Repeat instructions for the Front Panel, Hem, and Body.

Joining:

  • Seam shoulders, leaving approximately 4” of inside Front Panels open at the neckline to fold down.
  • Sew side seam.

Sleeves:

  • Join to any st around the armhole with a sl st, then work sc evenly around in each st and row-end, followed by the Ribbing instructions.

Ties:

  • Ch 51, sl st to top inside edge of Front Panel, sc in each ch across, fasten off leaving a 2” tail. Repeat for the opposite edge.

Finishing:

  • Weave in the remaining ends.
