Starting with the primary body color:

Magic Ring: 5 single crochet in magic ring, slip stitch to close.

  • Round 1: 6 single crochet in magic ring. [6 sts]
  • Round 2: Increase (2 single crochet in each stitch around). [12 sts]
  • Round 3: 1 single crochet, 1 increase repeat x6 times. [18 sts]
  • Round 4: 1 single crochet, 1 increase, 1 single crochet repeat x6 times. [24 sts]
  • Round 5: 3 single crochet, 1 increase repeat x6 times. [30 sts]
  • Round 6-7: 30 single crochet (one sc in each stitch around). [30 sts]

Change to black yarn:

  • Round 8: 2 single crochet, 1 increase, 2 single crochet repeat x6 times. [36 sts]
  • Round 9-10: 36 single crochet (one sc in each stitch around). [36 sts]

For Change to black yarn:

  • Round 11: 36 single crochet (one sc in each stitch around). [36 sts]
  • Round 12: 2 single crochet, 1 decrease, 2 single crochet repeat x6 times. [30 sts]
  • Round 13: 30 single crochet (one sc in each stitch around). [30 sts]

Change to yellow yarn:

  • Round 14: 30 single crochet (one sc in each stitch around). [30 sts]
  • Round 15: 3 single crochet, 1 decrease repeat x6 times. [24 sts]
  • Round 16: 1 single crochet, 1 decrease, 1 single crochet repeat x6 times. [18 sts]
  • Round 17: 1 single crochet, 1 decrease repeat x6 times. [12 sts]
  • Round 18: Decrease (6 decreases around). [6 sts]

Finishing Touches:

  • Insert Eyes: Place 8mm safety eyes between Rounds 8 and 9, making sure they are 5 stitches apart.
  • Sew Wings: If your figure has wings, attach them around Rounds 8 and 9 as indicated.
  • Closing: Finish stuffing the figure firmly before closing the remaining 6 stitches. Weave in ends.
