Stuff the Cherry:

  • Begin to stuff the cherry with fiberfill. Adjust the amount of filling as needed, ensuring not too packed but also not too loose.

Round 11:

  • Work 4 decreases around for a total of 8 stitches.

Closing:

  • Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail onto a yarn needle. Weave the needle through the front loops of the remaining 8 stitches. Pull tight to close. Secure and weave in the end.

Stem and Leaves:

Stem:

  • With green yarn, chain 25. Secure the end with a knot.
  • Attach the stem to the cherry by threading the tail of the yarn through the top of the cherry and securing it.

Leaf:

  • Chain 10.
  • In the second chain from the hook, make 1 sc.
  • 1 half double crochet (hdc) in the next chain, 1 double crochet (dc) in the next, 1 triple (tr) in the next, then dc, hdc, and 3 sc - this forms one side of the leaf.
  • Work on the opposite side of the chain repeating the pattern in reverse order to mirror the first half.
  • Finish by slip stitching through the leaf center to the starting chain.
  • To create a keychain loop, chain 3 and slip stitch into the next chain. From here, you can create another leaf following the steps above, adjusting the size if you wish by varying the number of stitches.
  • Cut the yarn and weave in all ends to finish.

Finishing:

Combine the completed cherries with the stems and leaves as desired, securing all parts firmly.
