The Pattern!
Wallet Body
Row 1 (Foundation Row):
- Ch 84.
- Ch 2 (turning ch).
- Skip 1 st, in next st work: sc, hdc, and dc all in the same stitch.
- Repeat: Skip 2 sts, (sc, hdc, dc) all in next st across to last 3 sts. Skip 2, sc in last st. (You will have 28 clusters + 1 sc at the end).
For those following the video: Start with a long chain to get the width you want, then always repeat [skip two, insert three different stitches in one chain] to create the textured motif. Finish with a single crochet.
Row 2 (Establish Pattern):
- Ch 2, turn.
- In first st, work sc, hdc, dc in the same st.
- Skip 2 sts, next (sc, hdc, dc) in next st.
- Repeat to last 3 sts, skip 2, sc in last st.
This row establishes your motif clusters, and you should see a clear "fan" or shell shape developing. Always start and end with single crochets for neat edges.

- Repeat Row 2.
Rows 4–18:

Color Change:

Strap
