  • Sport yarn
  • 3mm crochet hook
    • Alternatively, you can use double knit yarn with a 3.5mm hook, or chenille yarn with a 4mm hook.
  • Stitch marker
  • Beige and brown yarn for details

Pattern

Body & Head:

Start

  • Begin with a magic circle and chain one using cream yarn.
  • Make six single crochet (sc) inside the magic circle, then close the ring.

Round 1:

  • Place a marker on the first sc of every round.
  • Make two sc in each stitch around for a total of 12 sc.

Round 2:

  • Sequence: One sc in the next stitch, two sc in the following stitch.
  • Repeat around for a total of 18 stitches.

For Round 3:

  • Sequence: One sc in the next two stitches, then two sc in the following stitch.
  • Repeat around for a total of 24 stitches.

Round 4:

Sequence: One sc in the next three stitches, then two sc in the following stitch.

  • Repeat around for a total of 30 stitches.

Round 5:

  • Sequence: One sc in the next four stitches, then two sc in the following stitch.
  • Repeat around for a total of 36 stitches.

Color Change to Beige:

  • On the last stitch of round 7, switch to beige yarn.

Round 6 to 8:

  • Continue increasing by following the established pattern: Six sc, then two sc in the following stitch for round 8, adjusting the base sequence by one stitch each round.

Stitch Stability Rounds:

  • For the next six rounds, make one sc in each stitch around.

Eyes (Make 2):

  • With brown yarn, chain 5.
