Head and Body (Single Piece):

  • Start with white yarn, make six single crochets (sc) in a magic ring.
  • Mark the last stitch of each round with a stitch marker or a piece of yarn.
  • Round 2: Make six increases (2 sc in each stitch) – you'll have 12 stitches.
  • Round 3: (1 sc, 1 increase) repeat 6 times – you'll have 18 stitches.
  • Round 4: (2 sc, 1 increase) repeat 6 times – you'll have 24 stitches.
  • Round 5: (3 sc, 1 increase) repeat 6 times – you'll have 30 stitches.
  • Rounds 6-10: Make 30 sc in each round.
  • Round 11: (3 sc, 1 decrease) repeat 6 times – you'll have 24 stitches.
  • Round 12: (2 sc, 1 decrease) repeat 6 times – you'll have 18 stitches.
  • Round 13: (1 sc, 1 decrease) repeat 6 times – you'll have 12 stitches.

  • Make a magic ring, chain two, make seven double crochets (dc) inside the ring.
  • Leave a long yarn tail for sewing.
  • Embroider the nose and mouth with black yarn.

Tail:

Chain 10, skip the first chain (ch) and work nine slip stitches back.

  • Finish off and leave a tail of yarn for sewing.

Assembly:

  • Sew the front legs between rounds 14 and 15 of the body, leaving two stitches between them. Secure the lower part to the body.
  • Attach the back legs between rounds 18 and 20, sewing through the back loops for a neater appearance.
  • Affix the snout between rounds 8 and 10.
  • Position the ears between rounds 5 and 6, ensuring about 12 stitches between them.
  • Don't forget to attach the tail as well.
  • Place or embroider the eyes on the 7th round, leaving three stitches between them.
  • If desired, add color to the cheeks for additional appeal.
