Made with soft yarn using the art of crochet, each stitch is made with love, turning yarn into a big, plush blueberry friend. It’s perfect to decorate your room, to become a playful pillow, or to be the snuggly buddy you hold during storytime. This charming crocheted blueberry brings a spoonful of warmth and happiness into any space it inhabits!

Materials Needed:

  • Yarn (Number 7)
  • 6.5 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Hot glue
  • Felt (for the eyes)

Pattern Steps:

1

Starting with the Body:

Magic Ring:

  • Begin with a magic ring.
  • Make 10 single crochet (sc) stitches into the magic ring.
  • Close the magic ring.

Round 1:

  • Make one increase (two sc in the same stitch) in each stitch around.
  • By the end of this round, you will have 20 stitches.
  • Remember to mark the beginning of the round with a stitch marker.

Round 2:

  • Sequence: One sc, then one increase in the next stitch.
  • Repeat this sequence around.
  • You will have 30 stitches by the end of this round.

Rounds 3 to 7:

  • Make one single crochet in each stitch around for 5 rounds.
  • Maintain 30 stitches in each round.

2

Round 8 (Decrease Starts):

  • Sequence: One sc, then one decrease.
  • Use only the front loops for the decrease.
  • You will have 20 stitches by the end of this round.

3

Round 9:

  • Start with a chain of three.
  • Follow with a decrease, again taking only the front loops.
  • Repeat the pattern of chaining three and then making a decrease around.
  • Finish the round with 10 stitches.

4

Finishing the Body:

  • Cut the yarn, leaving a length for sewing.
  • Use a needle to weave the yarn through the final round's stitches, pull tight to close the opening, secure with a knot, and weave in the end.

Eyes and Decoration:

Eyes:

  • Cut out circles from felt for the eyes.
  • Attach with hot glue to the desired spot on the berry.

Adding Cheeks and Details:

  • Use pink yarn to add blush to the cheeks.
  • For extra decoration, white dots can be added to the eyes using nail polish or other methods for a lively effect.
