Cozy Stuffed Crochet Baby Yoda Amigurumi Pattern

Crochet Baby Yoda Amigurumi Pattern Save

Materials Needed:

  • Three colors of size 4 acrylic yarn: spearmint green, pistachio green, and vanilla cream.
  • Crochet hook size 3.0 mm.
  • Darning needle.
  • Stitch marker.
  • Safety eyes with backings.
  • Polyester stuffing.
  • Scissors.
  • Optional pins.

Head:

1 Save

  • Begin with spearmint green yarn by making a magic circle with 6 stitches.
  • Increase in every stitch for the next round, ending with 12 stitches.
  • For the following round, single crochet and then increase in every other stitch around, reaching 18 stitches total.
  • Perform single crochets for the next three rounds.
  • Conclude the head by performing an invisible decrease in every other stitch, until you are back to 12 stitches. Cut your yarn, leaving enough to sew later.

Body:

2 Save

  • Switch to vanilla cream yarn. Start as you did with the head, by making a magic circle with 6 stitches.
  • Increase in every stitch to get 12 stitches, then single crochet and increase in the round to get 18 stitches.
  • For this part of the pattern, single crochet into the back loops only of each stitch around, maintaining 18 stitches.
  • Continue by single crocheting around for five rounds.
  • To align the starting stitch, add an extra single crochet in the next round.
  • Begin decreases: alternate single crochet and invisible decrease around the round.
  • Perform the single crochet invisible decrease sequence until you end up with nine stitches. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for later.

Scarf:

3 Save

  • With vanilla cream yarn, create a slipknot and chain 20 stitches.
  • Single crochet all the way down the chain, making an increase in the last stitch.
  • Work back along the other side of the chain, single crocheting into each stitch and increasing in the last stitch. Cut the yarn, leaving enough to sew later.

Arms:

4 Save

  • Make a magic circle of four stitches using spearmint green.
  • When changing to vanilla cream, perform a color change on the first stitch after the magic circle.
  • Continue with an increase and then single crochet in the next stitch, and finish with an increase and a single crochet in the last stitch.
  • Perform three rounds of single crochets, then cut the yarn with a long tail for sewing.

Ears:

5 Save

  • Start with a slipknot and chain seven.
  • Work down one side of the chain with a variety of stitches: slip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, and then three double crochets.
  • Chain and turn your work, then perform a half-double crochet in the first two stitches and finish with a slip stitch. Leave a tail for sewing.

Assembly:

  • Place safety eyes two rows up on the head, three stitches apart, and secure.
  • Fill the head with polyester stuffing to maintain shape.
  • Attach the head to the body.
  • Sew on the ears, ensuring they're securely fastened.
  • Add a small piece of pistachio green yarn for the nose.
  • Attach the arms using the left yarn tails, adjusting with pins if necessary for placement before sewing.
  • Sew the scarf around Baby Yoda's neck and secure.
