Yarn over and pull through all loops on the hook. Ch 1 to close the star.
  • Half Double Crochet in the 3rd Loop Only: Work an hdc as normal but insert your hook into the loop right behind the stitch instead of into the top of the stitch.

Pattern Instructions:

Cuff:

  1. Row 1: ch 9, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each st across (8 sc).
  2. Row 2: ch 1, t, blsc in each st across (8 blsc).
  3. Repeat Row 2 until the piece is 7’’ across unstretched.
  4. Ch 1, fold the band in half and sl st the edges together to form the cuff of the glove.

Body:

  1. Row 3: ch 1, evenly place 26 sc around the cuff edge, sl st into the 1st st (26 sc).
  2. Row 4: ch 3, work the star st around, ending with an hdc in the very last st, sl st to join into the top of the first star st (12 star st & 1 hdc).
  3. Row 5: ch 2, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in every eye of the star st around, ending with an hdc in last st, sl st to join into the 1st st (26 hdc).
  4. Rows 6 – 11: Repeat Rows 4 – 5, ending with a single crochet round (Row 9).

Thumb Hole (Right Hand):

  1. Row 12: ch 1, sc in next 18 st, ch 2 very loosely, skip 4 st, sc in the last 4 st, sl st to join in the 1st st (22 sc + 2 ch).
  2. For the left hand, you’ll start the thumb hole earlier in the round: sc in the first 4 st, ch 2 very loosely, skip 4 st, sc in the next 18 st, sl st to join in the 1st st.
  3. Row 13 – 17: Continue with the pattern, treating the ch-2 space as 2 sc in the next rows, and finish with hdc in the 3rd loop only for the last row.

Finishing:

  • Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for weaving in ends. Use your yarn needle to weave in all ends securely.
  • Repeat the entire process for the second glove, mirroring the pattern to create a left-hand glove.

Feel free to adjust the size by increasing or decreasing the initial chain count or the number of rows before starting the thumb hole, ensuring both gloves are symmetrical.
