  • Size K (6.5 mm) crochet hook
  • Blunt needle
  • Pair of scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Markers

Pattern Instructions

Foundation Row

Using Rosewood color yarn (tie-dye yarn):

  • Make a knot and chain 114.
  • Single crochet in the second chain from the hook.
  • Single crochet in the next stitch.
  • Half double crochet in the next stitch.
  • Double crochet in the next three stitches.
  • Half double crochet in the next stitch.
  • Single crochet in the next three stitches.

Repeat the pattern: half double crochet, double crochet in the next three stitches, half double crochet, single crochet in the next three stitches, across the row.

  • End the row with single crochet in the last two stitches.

  • Chain 1, turn, skip the first stitch, and single crochet in each stitch across.
  • Continue until the end of the row.
  • Change to Plum Wine color yarn.

Repeat Pattern

  • Continue repeating Rows 1 to 4 until the piece measures around 36 inches or to your desired length.

Assembly

Fold the piece in half with the right side facing up (the right side is marked with the crochet hook at the top left corner).

Mark the armholes:

  • From the folded side, measure 7 inches and place a marker.
  • From the marker, attach both sides together with single crochet stitches.

  • Repeat around the entire shrug opening.

Join with a slip stitch in the first single crochet.
