  • Yarn needle

  • Stuffing (for stuffed projects)

Round 1:

  • Start with a magic circle.
  • Chain 1.
  • Make 6 single crochets into the magic circle.
  • Close the magic circle with a slip stitch.

Round 2:

  • Chain 1 for height.
  • Make 6 increases; you should have a total of 12 single crochets by the end.
  • Complete with a slip stitch.

For Round 3:

  • Chain 4 (counts as one double crochet and chain 1).
  • In the next stitch, make a double crochet, chain 1, and double crochet.
  • Repeat ** around.
  • Complete with a slip stitch into the third chain of the starting chain 4.

Round 4:

  • Chain 1.
  • Single crochet in the same space, then make an increase in the next chain-1 space.
  • Continue with one single crochet on top of the double crochet and an increase in the next chain-1 space around.
  • Complete with a slip stitch.

Round 5:

  • Chain 4.
  • Skip one stitch, double crochet in the next, chain 1.
  • Repeat ** around.
  • Complete with a slip stitch on top of the third chain.

For Round 6:

  • Chain 1.
  • Single crochet in the first stitch on top of the chain.
  • Increase in the next chain-1 space.
  • Continue with single crochet and an increase pattern around.
  • Complete with a slip stitch.

Round 7:

  • Chain 4.
  • Skip one stitch, double crochet in the next, chain 1.
  • Repeat ** around.
  • Skip the last two stitches and slip stitch on top of the third chain.

Round 8:

  • Chain 1.
  • Make 6 single crochets and increase in the next stitch.
  • Repeat ** around, ending with just 3 single crochets after the last increase.
  • Finish with a slip stitch.

For Round 9:

  • Chain 4.
  • Skip one stitch, make a double crochet in the next, chain 1.
  • Repeat ** around.
  • Skip the last two stitches and slip stitch on top of the third chain.

Save

Round 10 - 15:

  • Repeat Rounds 9 and 10 alternately until you complete Round 15.

For Round 16:

  • Chain 1.
  • Make 6 single crochets, then a decrease by single crocheting two together.
  • Repeat this sequence around.
  • Finish by cutting the thread and secure.

Round 17 (Final Round):

  • Change color if desired.
  • Make one single crochet in each stitch around.
  • Finish with a slip stitch and cut the yarn.

Flower and Leaf Details:

  • Create flowers and leaves using similar stitch patterns, starting with a magic circle for the flowers, and chain stitches to start the leaves.
  • For flowers, make loops of single crochet, increase in every round until desired size, then create petals in the last round.
  • For leaves, work with a mix of single crochets, half double crochets, and double crochets along a chain.
