Crochet Portofino Bag Set Pattern
Materials:
- Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in "Ecru" (850g, 1600yds)
- Size G (4mm) crochet hook
- Stitch markers
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
- 18 stitches & 16 rows = 4" in single crochet
Sizes:
- Bag (big): approx. 17" width, 13" height, 5" depth
- Bag (small): approx. 13" width, 10" height, 4" depth
Abbreviations:
- ch(s) = chain(s)
- st(s) = stitch(es)
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- dc = double crochet
Bag base:
- Chain 41 (31).
- Insert hook into second chain from hook and crochet a single crochet, single crochet into every chain (total 40, 30 stitches).
- Chain 1 at the end of the row, turn your work, and crochet one single crochet into each stitch of the previous row. (Repeat 49 (39) times until you reach row 50 (40).
- Do NOT cut the yarn.
Body of the bag:
- Crochet one single crochet around your base. Place one stitch marker into every corner stitch.
