Classic Newsboy Hat - Newborn Size
Materials Needed
- Cotton yarn
- Tape measure
- 4 mm crochet hook
- Buttons (optional)

Pattern Instructions
Magic Ring and Round 1:
- Create a magic ring.
- Chain 2 (does not count as a stitch).
- Work 12 double crochets (dc) into the magic ring.
- Pull the yarn tail to close the ring.
- Join with a slip stitch to the first stitch. (12 stitches)
Round 2:
- Chain 2.
- Work 2 double crochets into each stitch around.
- Join with a slip stitch to the first stitch. (24 stitches)
Round 3:

Round 5:

Body of the Hat:
- For Rounds 6 and onward, repeat with no increases:
- Chain 2.

- Continue until the hat measures 4.4 to 4.5 inches in height.
Decrease Round:
- Chain 1.

Brim:
- From the center front, mark 24 stitches on either side with stitch markers.
