Granny Square (Make 5):

  • Start with yellow yarn to make a magic ring.
  • Chain 2 (counts as first double crochet), then make 11 double crochets into the ring.
  • Pull the ring closed and slip stitch to the top of the chain 2.
  • Chain 1 to secure and cut the yarn.

Petals:

  • Attach white yarn. Chain 2.
  • Make 3 unfinished double crochets in the same stitch (for first petal, you'll have 4 loops on your hook).
  • Yarn over and pull through all loops, then chain 1.
