  • 16 mm safety eyes
  • Scissors
  • Polyfill
  • Crochet hook (G/4.25 mm)
  • Stitch markers

Pattern:

Save

Round 1: Magic ring or chain 2, 8 single crochets (sc) in the first stitch.

Round 2: Single crochet increase (inc) in each stitch around.

For Round 3: Sc inc, sc repeat around.

Round 4: Start with 2 sc, then 2 sc inc, 4 sc repeat sequence twice more. End with 2 sc inc, sc in the last 2 stitches.

Round 5: 1 sc in the first 3 stitches, then sc inc, sc inc, 6 sc; Repeat sequence three times. End with 2 sc inc, 3 sc.

Round 6-16: Sc in each stitch around.

For Round 17: Start with sc in the first 3 stitches. 2 sc decrease (dec), 6 sc repeat sequence three times. End with 2 sc dec, sc in the last 3 stitches.

Round 18: Start with sc in the first 2 stitches. Sc dec twice, 4 sc repeat sequence three times. End with 2 sc dec, sc in the last 2 stitches.

Round 19: Sc dec, sc around.

For Round 20: Sc dec around.

Round 21: Sc around.

Round 22: Sc inc in each stitch around.

Round 24: Sc inc, 2 sc around.

For Round 25: Sc inc, sc in the next 7 stitches around.

Round 26 (forming armholes): Skip the first 8 stitches, 10 sc, skip 8 stitches, 10 sc.

Round 27: Sc inc, sc around.

For Round 28 and 29: Sc around.

Round 30: Sc dec, sc around.

Legs:

  • For each leg, repeat the process of sc around, sc dec, and stuffing.

Tiny Roots for feet and hands:

  • Chain 9, Slit stitch back along the chain, attach to the leg/arm.

Finishing and Assembly:

  • Secure the safety eyes between rounds specified by the pattern.
  • Stuff the head and body as the rounds progress.
  • Close up the leg and arm ends with the final rounds decreasing until closed up.
