  • Begin with a slipknot.
  • Chain 3 (counted as the first double crochet).

  • Chain 3. Make 11 more double crochets into the ring, totaling 12 double crochets (counting the initial chain-3 as a double crochet).
  • Join with a slip stitch into the top of the starting chain-3. Fasten off the yarn.

Daisy Petals (White):

  • Attach white yarn with a standing double crochet.
  • In the next stitch, work 5 double crochets into the same space.
  • Remove hook, insert it into the top of the first double crochet, pull through loop, chain 2.

  • In each of the next chain spaces around the center, work 5 double crochets, connect each petal with a slip stitch and chain 2.
  • After completing 12 petals, join with a slip stitch and fasten off the yarn.

Turning Daisy Into Square Motif (Purple Yarn):

  • Start with a magic loop in one of the chain-2 spaces between the petals.
  • In a corner chain-2 space perform [3 double crochet, chain 2, 3 double crochet].
  • Across each side, work 3 half double crochets into the next chain-2 space twice.
  • Repeat the corner sequence in each corner space and work 3 half double crochets across each side space.
  • Join with a slip stitch into the first double crochet and fasten off.

Joining Squares:

  • Make and join four flower squares together for your bottle holder.
  • Join squares by placing them back-to-back and working through both layers to slip stitch or single crochet them together along the edges while crocheting a standard square round to unite all the squares.
  • Leave the top row open for the bottle's neck.

Bottle Neck Adjusting:

  • Once squares are joined and the bottle is inserted to check fit, adjust the size by adding another round or two of double crochet if necessary for your bottle size.
  • Fasten off once the desired size is achieved.

Base of Bottle Holder:

  • Start with a magic ring.
  • Chain 2, work 12 double crochets into the ring. Close the ring and join with a slip stitch.
  • Work increases in each round until the base is the size of the bottom of your bottle holder (each round has a series of increases).
  • Once the base has reached the desired size, sew it to the bottom of the holder.

Handle:

  • Create a crochet cord or braid long enough for your handle (110 centimeters in the example).
  • Sew each end of the handle securely to the sides of the top of your bottle holder.

Finishing:

  • Add a single crochet border around the top of the holder if you like for a neater edge.
  • Fasten off and weave in all your ends.
