First Half:

  1. Magic Ring (MR):
    • Begin with a magic ring. Work 6 SC into the ring. (6 stitches)
    • Pull the ring tight to close.
  2. Row 1:
    • SC around. (6 stitches)
  3. Row 2:
    • INC in each stitch around. (12 stitches)
  4. Row 3:
    • [INC, SC] repeat around. (18 stitches)
    • Save
  5. Row 4:
    • SC in each stitch around. (18 stitches)
    • Pull the thread and leave a long tail for sewing.
  6. Repeat Rows 1 to 4 to create the second half of the heart.

Joining the Halves:

  1. Place both halves together. Start from the next stitch of the first half.
  2. SC around, joining the two halves. Leave the thread from the first half loose; it will later be used for sewing. (36 stitches)

Continuing the Heart:

  1. Rows 5-6: SC in each stitch around. (36 stitches)
