Materials Needed:

  • 6.5 mm “K” crochet hook
  • 1 ball of Hygge Fur from Red Heart (in “Royal Purple” colorway)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Tape measure

Sizing:

The cowl measures 14 inches tall with a 38-inch circumference.

Stitches Abbreviation

  • ch: Chain
  • dc: Double Crochet

Crochet Deep Comfort Cowl Save

Instructions:

  • 1. Ch 41 (to change the width, any odd multiple will work for the cowl)
  • 2. Row 1: In the third ch from the hook, work a (dc, ch 1) *Skip a ch, then work a (dc, ch 1) in the next ch. Repeat from * across, then work a dc into the last chain.
  • 3. Row 2: Ch 3 and turn. *Work a (dc, ch 1) in the ch 1 space from the previous row. Repeat from * across, the work a dc into the topmost chain of the turning chain.
  • 4. Repeat row 2 until the rectangle measures about 38 inches long or the desired length
  • 5. Holding two edges together, slip stitch the edges together by working a slip stitch into each space across.
  • 6. Fasten off and weave in and ends that remain.
