For Crochet Bee Pattern

You need:

  • Black and yellow plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby or analogs (100% polyester, 100g/120 mt or 3,53 oz/131 yards)
  • white fine yarn 50 g/200 mt or 1.76 oz/218 yards
  • hooks 4mm and 2mm
  • plastic eyes (approximately 12 mm)
  • fiber filler

Body:

Begin with a YELLOW yarn with 2 ch (or magic ring).

  • Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd loop from hook (or in the magic ring) (6)
  • Round 2: 6 inc (12)
  • Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc)*6 times (18)
  • Round 4: (2 sc, 1 inc)*6 times (24)
  • Round 5: 24 sc (24) - change on BLACK color on last sc
  • Rounds 6-7: 24 sc (24) - change on YELLOW color on last sc
  • Rounds 8-9: 24 sc (24) - change on BLACK color on last sc
  • Rounds 10-11: 24 sc (24) - change on YELLOW color on last sc
  • Round 12: 24 sc (24)
  • Round 13: (2 sc, 1 dec)*6 times (18)

Set the eyes and start to stuff the body.

  • Round 14: (1 sc, 1 dec)*6 times (12)
  • Round 15: 6 dec (6) - change on BLACK color on last sc
  • Round 16: 6 sc (6)

Cut the yarn, leaving a 6" yarn tail.

Using the yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the last 6 sts and close the hole tightly. Hide the end of the yarn inside.

The body is ready.

Wings:

Begin with white yarn with magic ring

  • Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
  • Round 2: 6 inc (12)
  • Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc)*6 times (18)
  • Round 4: (2 sc, 1 inc)*6 times (24)
  • Round 5: (3 sc, 1 inc)*6 times (30)

Continue to crochet the next rows using the method of back-and-forth (after each row, we turn the piece and crochet in the opposite direction):

  • Row 1:4 sc, turn (4)
  • Row 2: 1 ch (lifting loop), skip 1 loop, 2 dec, turn (2)
  • Row 3: 1 ch (lifting loop), 1 dec (1)

Finish crocheting with 1 ch, cute the yarn, leaving 8" tail. Similarly, crochet the second wing, connect them together at the base and then sew them to the body. Embroider brows and smile with plush black yarn. Bzzz! Bee is ready!
